Terms of Service
Last updated: May 20, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Framed Events platform operated by Framed Events (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By creating an account or using the service in any way you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. The Service
Framed Events is a web-based platform that allows event organisers (“Organisers”) to create branded photo-frame overlays for their events. Guests of those events (“Guests”) can scan a QR code to access a browser-based camera experience that composites a live photo with the chosen frame — entirely on their own device — and save the result to their device.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice. We will not be liable to you for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
2. Accounts and Eligibility
To create an account you must:
- Be at least 16 years old.
- Provide accurate and complete registration information.
- Keep your login credentials confidential.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account, you must notify us immediately at legal@framedevents.com.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe poses a risk to the platform or other users.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the service to:
- Create, distribute, or display content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
- Infringe any intellectual property rights of third parties.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or another user's account.
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the platform by automated means without our written permission.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the service, including event names, dates, and design choices (“Organiser Content”). By submitting Organiser Content you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, and transmit that content solely as necessary to provide the service.
You are solely responsible for the legality and appropriateness of all Organiser Content. We do not monitor content proactively but reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.
5. Guest Photos
Photos taken by Guests through the Framed Events camera experience are processed entirely within the Guest's browser. No photo or image data is uploaded to, stored on, or processed by our servers. We have no access to, and no liability for, any photo taken by a Guest.
Organisers must ensure they have any required consents under applicable law before allowing Guests to take photos at their event.
6. Payments and Refunds
Access to the service is free for events with up to 9 guests. Larger guest tiers require a one-time payment per event, charged at the time you activate the event. All prices are shown in US dollars and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
Payments are processed by Stripe. By completing a payment you also agree to Stripe's terms of service.
All payments are final and non-refundable once an event has been activated, except where required by applicable consumer protection law. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact us at legal@framedevents.com and we will review your request.
7. Intellectual Property
The Framed Events name, logo, platform design, and frame templates are the intellectual property of Framed Events. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, trade names, or other proprietary materials without our prior written consent.
Frame templates available on the platform are licensed to you for use within the service only. You may not extract, redistribute, or sublicense the templates.
8. Third-Party Services
The service integrates with third-party providers including Google (authentication), Stripe (payments), Neon (database hosting), and Vercel (application hosting). Your use of those providers is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of any third-party service.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Framed Events and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising out of or in connection with your use of the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising under or related to these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD $10, whichever is greater.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Framed Events and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of or in any way connected with your use of the service or your violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from your account settings.
We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without notice, if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes we will notify registered Organisers by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
